形態特徵

• Small evergreen trees; branchlets flexuous.
• Leaves mostly membranaceous, alternate, distichous, oblong, 6.5–17.5 cm long, 2–7 cm broad, acute, obtuse to short-attenuate at base, inconspicuously crenulate-serrulate, glabrous, the midrib and veins elevated on both surfaces; petioles 2–3 cm long, puberulous, bracteate at base;
• sepals puberulous, 1.5 mm long; petals absent; stamens 8, 0.6 mm long; filaments pubescent, united at base with short alternating staminodes (0.3 mm long) into a tube.
• Capsules succulent, ellipsoid, 10–15 mm long, black.

分布

• 台灣 : In thickets and fields at low altitudes of the southern part.
• 世界 : Hainan.
